FamilyIgloo was developed to serve as an informative, safe, fun and synergistic family oriented social networking site. With today’s ever increasing hectic lifestyles, getting informed about Orange County and Los Angeles Calendar of Events is hard and many people are searching for a family social networking website in order to get connected with likeminded peers. Time and again couples with young children (oc parents, LA families) have limited occasions to socialize outside the family unit, which becomes one of our primary goals by developing this MeetUp like site for moms and families.We hope that this site will allow families to get informed about some of the latest family related web articles, enforce long distance ties, get to know their neighborhood, find families with similar outdoor/indoor hobbies, and share photos, videos, and precious moments with selected members. We also hope that networking families will allow them to meet each other in a SECURE environment such as family excursions, park barbecues, dining out, birthday parties, hiking out, moms’ night out, fathers’ night out and toys exchange and resale.
Some few examples include:
-Forming social networking units for moms and families
-Forming social networking units at a school
-Forming online social network for a PTA to share photos and videos privately.
-Forming social groups and forums for families with children with chronic diseases such as cerebral palsy and seizure
