Three steps forward, two steps back... and twirl, twirl, twirl!
About me:
I have no formal training (outside of "some college"), only life experience: I am the parent of four daughters, two in college, one in first grade and the youngest is preparing to enter Kindergarten. After working full time and having our older two girls attend the public school system, we have decided that it is in the best interest of our family to educate our younger children at home. I am also a full time student pursuing a bachelor's degree in education, with the hopes of continuing on towards a master's degree in the future. In the past, I have worked in social services, marketing/communications, public relations and advertising (both trade and consumer in the beverage industry). I am currently a home-maker, home school parent (academic coach), Girl Scout troop leader and CEO of our household.

The Village
"It takes a village to raise a child." - African proverb
The cold/flu virus has made a few extra rounds in our family this year (and for me, a monster sinus infection that isn't responding to antibiotics), unfortunately.
